WERENGO serves as a facilitator for the generation and dissemination of information and aims
to work to pursue enhance and strengthen on a sustainable basis local, national and international development initiatives in TheWestern Region.

WERENGO further seeks to support members to share lessons learned, to collaborate with others,
and to have a voice in local and national development planning and policy development

The network is created as a broad-based umbrella organisation networking individual NGOs both
local and internationl, with an interest in facilitating NGO action that is fundamentally aimed at
promoting environmentally sustainable development in the Western Region

It shall recognise coalitions, associations and other issue-specific networks between members and
strive to promote their causes.
